Canadian opera singer, soprano. Born in Terrace, British Columbia, she graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto in 2006 and received a master's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the USA. She trained in the Canadian Opera Company's Ensemble Studio, the Steans Institute at the Ravinia Festival, and with Romanian soprano Marina Krilovici in Athens.
She made her debut in 2009 as Diana in Gluck's "Iphigénie en Tauride" with the private company "Operatic Atelier" in Toronto. During her time in the Canadian Opera Company's Ensemble Studio, she performed roles such as Amour in "Orfeo ed Euridice," Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute," Greek Woman in "Iphigénie en Tauride," Semele in "Semele," Adele in "Die Fledermaus," Vitellia in "La clemenza di Tito."
Her European debut took place in 2015 at the National Theatre of São Carlos in Lisbon as Anne Trulove in Stravinsky's "The Rake's Progress." In 2016, she made her debut at the English National Opera as the Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute." Her US debut was at Arizona Opera in 2014 as Violetta in "La Traviata."
Currently, she is a soloist with the Frankfurt Opera, where she has performed roles such as Elisabeth in Donizetti's "Roberto Devereux," Queen in Janáček's "The Cunning Little Vixen," Helmwige in Wagner's "Die Walküre," Scintilla in Maderna's "Satyricon," leading roles in "Salome," "Tosca," "Norma," and "Ariadne auf Naxos." She has also sung the roles of Dalinda in "Ariodante" and Eva in Schreker's "Irrelohe," and in 2018, she participated in the world premiere of Rufus Wainwright's opera "Hadrian" at the Canadian Opera Company as Sabina.
